About us
A mill on the Kirkuk Road
We make poultry and fish feed in Erbil, and we make all of it ourselves.
What we do
Mashreq Feed produces compound feed for poultry and for carp at a single plant in Erbil, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The range covers broilers through their growing stages, layers through rearing and lay, and carp in fish farms across the region. Every ration leaves the plant in a 50 kg bag under our own name.
CONFIRM: a short paragraph on when the company was founded, by whom, and how the plant has grown. This is the one part of the story we cannot write for you — it is not in the old website, the database, or on the packaging.
How feed is made here
Six steps between the raw material and the farm gate
Compound feed is not a mixture so much as a formulation. The sequence below is what happens on our site, in order.
Intake
Grain and protein meals arrive and are sampled before they are accepted into storage. What goes into the bins decides everything downstream.
Grinding
Raw materials are milled to a controlled particle size. Too coarse and the bird sorts its feed; too fine and intake and gut health suffer.
Mixing
Ground materials, vitamins and minerals are blended to the formulation for that species and stage. Mix uniformity is what makes one bag equal to the next.
Pelleting
Most rations are pressed into pellets under heat and steam. Pelleted feed cannot be picked over by the bird, so every mouthful is the full formulation.
Cooling
Pellets come off the press hot and moist and are cooled and dried before bagging, which is what keeps them sound in storage.
Bagging & dispatch
Finished feed is weighed into 50 kg bags, stitched, stacked and conveyed onto the truck.

How we would like to be judged
The same bag every time
Consistency between batches is the single thing a feed mill is really selling. A ration that performs one month and disappoints the next is worse than a mediocre one that never changes.
Say what is in it
Species, stage and weight are printed plainly on every bag, in Arabic and in English. If you want the specification behind a ration, ask us and we will give it to you.
Close to the farm
We are a regional mill serving regional farms. Short haulage means fresher feed and a phone call that gets answered by someone who knows your order.
